On June 23, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag attended the online signing ceremony of Establishment of Friendly Exchanges Relations between Dongshan County, Fujian Province in China and Dagupan City, Pangasinan Province in Philippines.

In his speech, Consul Ren expressed his warm congratulations to Dongshan County and Dagupan City for the establishment of their friendly relations. Dongshan County has contributed in the promotion of the “Three Good Relations” between China and the Philippines as good neighbors, good friends, and good partners, as such he hopes that the two sides can establish a consultation mechanism and exchange visits mechanism to mutually promote high-quality developments in their respective localities.

Dongshan County Mayor He Ai and Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez led the ceremony and delivered speeches, and signed the agreement.

Both sides also introduced their current investment and trade status, and expressed their enthusiasm in strengthening their exchanges and cooperation in the various fields such as in economic and trade, maritime and tourism. Dongshan County extended its willingness to participate in the construction of the Chinese Garden in Dagupan City.
