On April 26 to 27, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag traveled to the northernmost province of the Philippines to visit the beautiful Province of Batanes. He was warmly welcomed by Batanes Governor Marilyn Cayco and Mayor German Caccam of the Municipality of Basco, the capital of the province.

The Consul visited the Kavaywan Ivatan-Chinese Friendship Tourism Farm, the Batanes State College and the National Museum of Batanes Area.

He had a meaningful discussion with Governor Cayco over plans for the promotion of friendly exchanges and cooperation between Chinese localities and Batanes, as well as other issues of common concern.
