On March 15, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag visited the province of Ilocos Sur, and met with senior politician and former Governor Chavit Singson, together with incumbent Vice Governor Ryan Singson, Vigan City Mayor Jose Singson and other officials.

The two sides exchanged views on deepening the mutually beneficial cooperation between local Chinese regions and Ilocos Sur, especially in strengthening the relationship with Hubei Province of China, as the sister province of Ilocos Sur.
