After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the traditional dragon and lion dance on the street sponsored by the IlocosNorteFilipino-Chinese  Chamber of Commercehas successfully resumed on January 20 in celebration of the Spring Festival in cty of Laoag.

Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag was invited and joyfully walked the streets of Laoag City together with Filipino-Chinese Community leaders, extending his warm congratulations to local Chinese citizens in welcoming the Chinese New Year.

The wonderful performances of the dragon and lion dance team also garnered attention and won rounds of applause from the audience.

During the event, Consul Ren accepted an on-the-spot interview with a local TV station where he wished everyone to be happy in the new year of the Rabbit especially to local Chinese citizens and friends in Ilocos Norte.
