On December 10, at the invitation of the municipal government of Banna, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag, together with his wife, Consul Ma Ning, attended the Lantern Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting, Launching of Christmas Village, and Agoria ni Maria at the Banna Municipal Plaza.

Consul Ren exchanged holiday greetings with Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos, Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba, who also joined the event, as well as with Banna Mayor Mary Chrislyn Abadilla and Vice Mayor Carlito Abadilla, who led the program.

They all enjoyed different song and dance performances, and had friendly discussions. That day also coincided with the birthday of Governor Manotoc, and so everyone sent him warm birthday wishes.

People from Banna, especially students from primary and secondary schools, all gathered in the plaza and had a wonderful experience during this holiday season.
